Alphapointe’s Youth Services participants planned their community service project to give back to others in appreciation of all they have received this year.
During the month of December, participants baked cookies and put together goody bags with the donated items. They also practiced holiday songs with the adult caroling group the Stone Soup Singers. Additionally, they made a holiday caroling video that was distributed to different senior centers in the local community to bring excitement during the holiday times.
In conjunction with Alphapointe’s organization-wide efforts, Youth Services members also collected donated items. In total, more than $500 of items were secured with nearly half of the total stemming from Alphapointe’s Guarded Exchange team. Among the more than 250 individual donated items were a host of necessities, including food, clothing, toiletries and gifts for children. The items were delivered to City Union Mission and Hope Faith Ministries, which provide shelters and services for homeless men, women and children.
Alphapointe is grateful to its Youth Services members, its staff and to C&C Group, which partnered with the organization to support these activities and accomplishments.
