Alphapointe is pleased to announce the addition of Ann-Marie Birns to the organization’s Board of Directors.
Birns is an Executive Director at Morgan Stanley within the Institutional Securities Technology and leads the Research Technology team globally, which is comprised of more than 200 employees and consultants. She is currently responsible for the technology strategy and execution aligned to the business across product creation, distribution and intelligence.
During her 30-year career, she has served in a number of roles across technology development and management. She also serves as the Chief of Staff for the Advisory and PWM Technology divisions, managing a budget of $100 million including labor, infrastructure and software.
Birns is a mentor to many at Morgan Stanley and is active in the Women in Technology organization, sharing her career experience broadly. She also serves as the co-chair of the Disabilities Working Group within Technology focusing on promoting learning and inclusivity across the organization.
Birns graduated from Stony Brook University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science.
