Alphapointe's Cameron Black Makes History with First Pitch

Two years ago, Cameron Black decided that he wanted to learn how to throw a baseball.

Most would assume that a person who is blind wouldn’t be able to throw a baseball. Those people were proven wrong.

On Friday, Aug. 27, Cameron because the first person who is blind to throw out the first pitch at a Kansas City Monarchs game.

“I want to show people and show myself that I might be blind, but with the proper practice and training I’ve had, I can still look like I belong out there. I want to defy expectations.”

Cameron did just that. With help from his coach, Tom Wyrsch, Cameron made history.
