Alphapointe, one of the nation’s largest providers of rehabilitation services and employment for people who are blind, announced Tom England will assume the role of Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
England joins Alphapointe after previously serving as the Regional Market Sales Manager for Cintas. In that position, England increased productivity by 40 percent and led his group of sales professionals to record-breaking results as the team achieved the highest revenue recorded since the 2006 opening of the Kanas City Fire Protection branch.
During his tenure at Cintas, England was nominated by local operations leadership and approved by his group vice president to preside over the cross-sell strategy for all three Cintas divisions in Kansas City. Under England’s leadership, the Kanas City region achieved significant growth through cross-sell efforts as the region ranked first among 10 other regions.
Prior to his role as Regional Market Sales Manager, England held other positions with Cintas, including serving as the Service Manager and Uniform Sales Representative responsible for selling facility service products and uniform rental programs. As a Service Manager, England’s team achieved his location’s highest customer retention results and had the most teammates exceeding quarterly growth projections.
Before his tenure at Cintas, England served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 2001-13. An Operation Iraqi Freedom veteran, he began his service as an enlisted Marine in the reserves before earning his commission and transitioning to active duty in 2006. As an officer, England held roles such as Platoon Commander, Company Executive Officer and Company Commander, while serving for a year as the Aide de Camp for the Vice Chief of Naval Research.
A resident of Overland Park, Kan., England and his wife, Brandie, spend their free time with their three children, Evan, Emma, and Tommy. England earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Kansas and is currently enrolled in the Executive MBA program at Rockhurst University (class of 2022).
In his new position, England follows Ryan Williams, who was recently elevated to a newly created role of Chief Operations Officer.
