Alphapointe will use the gift to establish an Endowment to fund orientation and mobility training and other education and training services for people who are blind and visually impaired who desire to be paired with a guide dog.
Kansas City, MO– May 22, 2015- The Alphapointe Foundation, a 501 (c) 3 supporting foundation of Alphapointe, announced today that it has received a $600,000 financial gift from the Lorelei L. Wrigley Trust. The Co-Trustees of the Wrigley Trust, Thomas Rost, Betty Schnell and Janis Schnell, will serve in an advisory capacity to the Alphapointe foundation, as members of a special committee.
This gift is the largest gift from an individual in Alphapointe’s 104-year history. These endowed funds will provide the foundation of support needed to sustain Alphapointe’s rehabilitation services for many years to come,” said Reinhard Mabry, President and CEO of Alphapointe.
