Adventures with the Stone Soup Singers

The Stone Soup Singers is a group of blind and visually impaired adults and children and sighted friends who have been caroling together for over 40 years.

The founder of this group, Linda (Echo) Ray, a former teacher for the visually impaired in the Shawnee Mission schools, recently passed away, and we are keeping this joyful experience alive as she wished us to do.

Every year in December, we spend a Saturday traveling around the greater Kansas City area bringing the joy of music to those who need a little extra cheer! We sing traditional carols as well as very unique ones that you may have never heard! People join us who play a variety of instruments including guitars, flutes, violins, recorders, and more!

We invite you to consider participating with us for the whole event or whatever part you can manage! All ages are welcome to attend!

In 2021, we went in-person AND virtual! On Saturday, Dec. 11, 2021, we held an in-person performance open to the public that was also streamed online. Watch/listen to the concert below! And, stay tuned for our date in 2022!
