Expanding Youth Experiences

Expanding Youth Experiences

These programs are designed for children and youth who are blind or visually impaired, so they can experience an array of opportunities in the community.

Expanding Opportunities

Expanding Youth Experiences program (EYE) is designed for kids ages 6-18 with visual impairments. The program provides fun and interactive activities allowing kids to discover new interests or passions, have fun, learn sensory efficiency and develop social skills.

Expanded Core Curriculum Aligned

The ECC is the body of knowledge and skills that are needed by students with vision impairments due to their unique disability-specific needs. We utilize the ECC as a framework for assessing students, planning individual goals and providing instructions.  These activities will allow the individual child to discover new interests or passions and to provide a framework for the future.

“It is so fun to be with other kids who have a visual impairment, like me.” – Sarah
